When we were small my
brother Robert and I would play outside our 1
st house in
Belfast. One day when we were out playing Robert ran into the house
and announced to my Mum that we had got “begaged”; as he'd found
a Coca Cola can ring down the side of the kerb. He had put the Coke
ring on my finger and held my hand. My Mum burst out laughing and
said you cant be “begaged” to your sister, people don't do that.
Looking back it was one of the sweetest things my brother had ever
done – that's how close, in all innocence, a brother and sister
could be.Isn't that cute !
